I’d like to thank This Writer’s Wallet for hosting the #20 Money Hackers Carnival and for including my article, Gold Dividends: 11 Mining Stocks That Pay Them, in it. This is pretty big news for me as before I didn’t really understand the whole blog carnival scene and didn’t think my articles could be good enough to get “published” in someone’s carnival. Now I’ll start trying for more of them! Maybe eventually I’ll even figure out how and be asked to host one.
Thanks GradGirl! And everyone else, for reading and stopping by! I might be away for a couple of days here as I deal with some errands that have come up, but I’ll be back pretty soon. Feel free to “talk amongst yourselves.”:)

What exactly is a “Blog Carnival”? Too much to sift through when you google it!
Hi Almost,
A “blog carnival” is a collection of posts from various blogs that is “hosted” on one single blog. Usually the collection focuses on a specific topic, like, saving money or paying down debt or just general personal finance. Each carnival has a different focus. Within the same carnival, the blog that “hosts” the carnival might change from week to week, and in that case, it’s a travelling carnival.
All in all, it’s a unique way to promote one’s own writing as well as get exposure to new writers and new blogs. For readers it’s great because you can read many different posts all on the same topic altogether.
Great stuff. How did you get invited?
I wasn’t invited per se; but there was an open call for submissions, and I submitted an article (the one on “Gold Dividends”) that I thought might be especially worth more people reading.
You can get involved with some blogger’s networks, and when you’re a member, they often ask their members to submit posts/articles for inclusion.
There’s also the PFBuzz network you might want to look at, seeing as you’re a personal finance (PF) blog.
