Obama’s Stimulus Bill Passes!

in Obama, stimulus plan

Breaking news – late on Friday, around 9pm EST I think, Obama’s stimulus proposal tentatively passed, legalizing a stimulus of about $780 Billion, cut back a bit from the $900 Billion originally proposed.

I was starting to get worried.

Now let’s see how quickly he can sign it and get it working.

Monday, February 9 update: OK, it turns out that something still needs to be “passed” with this stimulus, because Obama just did a town hall meeting in Elckart, Indiana in order to help garner support for the stimulus.  It has me wondering again about how much I have agreed with Ron Paul in the past.  Today Ron Paul said the GOP has “caved in” on the stimulus pressure.  It’s true that all this new inflation is just going to contribute to another monster.  But the US is really in between a rock and a hard place right now.  Even without this stimulus, the economy would still really suck here for a long, long, time… as company spending falls more in line with real earnings, etc.  and the bloated “fat” from the economy finally falls out so we can see what everyone’s really worth.  In that sense, all the new inflation is just going to keep masking the real problem.

No to “stimulus” bill. Here’s why:
Since Obama’s earnest drive to convince the nation to weaken its economic strength through redistribution as well as weaken its national defense, has confirmed the very threats to our Republic’s survival that the Constitution was designed to avert, it no longer is sustainable for the United States Supreme Court and Military Joint Chiefs to refrain from exercising WHAT IS THEIR ABSOLUTE CONSTITUTIONAL DUTY TO DEFEND THE NATION FROM UNLAWFUL USURPATION. The questions of Obama’s Kenyan birth and his father’s Kenyan/British citizenship (admitted on his own website) have been conflated by his sustained unwillingnes to supply his long form birth certificate now under seal, and compounded by his internet posting of a discredited ‘after-the-fact’ short form ‘certificate’. In the absence of these issues being acknowledged and addessed, IT IS MANIFEST THAT OBAMA REMAINS INELIGIBLE TO BE PRESIDENT UNDER ARTICLE 2 OF THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION. Being a 14th Amendment ‘citizen’ is not sufficient. A ‘President’ MUST BE an Article 2 ‘natural born citizen’ AS DEFINED BY THE FRAMERS’ INTENT.

Thanks for that “insightful” comment, Ted – Obama’s birth is not in doubt and is not in debate. My site isn’t a board for fanatic rants – share your opinion, but at least be relevant.

It’s sad to see today when no matter who gets elected it’s seen as some sort of conspiracy or mistake.

Ted, Obama’s your president too.

Is it going to do anything at this point? We are already $10 Trillion in the whole…do you have ANY IDEA how much money that is??? It is crazy, and the bailout adds almost another Trillion. When will it end.

I know, AM, I know…. but I’m past the point of questioning the bailouts… it’s true they’re using the same tactic that got everyone into a mess in the first place. Borrowing more money. I think politically, though, no one would be able to handle “no stimulus.” You should see how much crap was thrown up in Canada when Harper (our PM) resisted the printing of more money. We basically almost had another election. This doesn’t make the stimuli right, however. Unfortunately it’s taxpayers again who are going to bear all the suffering for it.
