The past two weeks have been more active around here, especially with all the goings-on on Twitter. It’s so great to continually meet such motivated and inspiring people and their “liberation stories.” Just by way of a bit of a round up here, I want to mention a few updates to the site and say some thank yous.
Over the past week or so, MoneyEnergy was mentioned in some great personal finance blogs that I want to give some link love to: we were mentioned by BripBlap, Sun’s Financial Diary, MyLifeROI, ManVsDebt, Canadian Finance Blog, Financial Methods, GenerationXFinance, Funny About Money and That One Caveman – thanks to you all for sharing my articles!
Most especially, Saving For Serenity included MoneyEnergy in a list of the top investing blogs within his personal finance blog roundup. Thanks alot for that, I actually haven’t posted on investing itself in a little bit because I’m currently not in my investing cycle, but investment is by far the way in which I came into the personal finance community to begin with. I like picking stocks, doing the research and learning about stock analysis. I’m not really content to sit on some index funds and let them be with monthly dollar cost averaging while I look for other ways to save some money (although I do try to do that).
Also, my interview with Baker from ManVsDebt and my article on seasonal investing both got published on Tip’d; and my article “If You Want To Feel Rich, Count the Things You Have that Money Can’t Buy” got several instant retweets across the interwebs. That’s a great feeling! Glad to write something others find inspiring or useful.
Also, one of my articles made editor’s pick (thanks MyLifeROI!) in the Money Hacks Carnival! “Don’t Wait Until You’re 50 To Start Preserving Your Wealth” – so far the piece has been getting a good round of comments.
And thanks very much to all my regular readers and new followers – if there’s anything I can help you with, let me know! Looking forward to continually meeting great peeps on the interwebs.
Personal Productivity and Lifehacks
In other reading, I’d like to recommend a few of these great sites for personal motivation and inspiration – they’re not immediately finance-related, but that’s because they work at a level deeper than money – personal success in general. So check these out now, because I know you’ll be hearing about them a lot more in the future.
The Art of Non-Conformity – This is the work of Chris Guillebeau, world-traveler and lifestyle entrepreneur. If you couldn’t get enough of the 4HWW, just keep on reading here!
Productive Flourishing – Philosopher and “creativity midwife” (think Socrates for your genius) Charlie Gilkey’s online project for helping you get in touch with your inner phronesis (that’s ancient Greek for lifehack).
Illuminated Mind – Jonathan Mead just released The Liberation Revolution, a 28-pg free download for helping you break out of your cubicle cage and showing you how to reclaim your mind.
Marc and Angel Hack Life - Marc and Angel have one killer compendium of lifehacks here for your perusal. This site is like an encyclopedia of entries on how to live a better, fuller, happier, more productive life.
There are several other amazing sites, too, but I don’t want to post too many up at once. Better to savor a few at a time:) That said, let me know in the comments which other sites you recommend along these lines!
